L onto Pendleton St.
L onto St. Asaph.
R onto Oronoco St.
R onto Alfred St.

L onto Braddock Rd.
R onto Hancock Ave.
L onto Monroe Ave.
BR onto High St.
R onto Braddock Rd.; continue on Braddock to Ft. Ward.

STOP: Fort Ward. Heritage significance? Civil War fort.

STOP: Stonegate. Heritage significance? Native American camp/work site.

L onto Fillmore Ave.; becomes Chambliss St.

X Holmes Run and continue on bicycle trail.
STOP: Bicentennial Tree. Heritage significance? This willow oak was here during the Revolutionary War.
L through Tarleton Park to bicycle trail.
R onto S. Gordon St.
L onto Wheeler Ave.
STOP: Old Mill. Heritage significance? Eisenhower Valley had several mills in the early years of Alexandria. These mills produced flour, which was then shipped from Alexandria's docks.
Reverse course and return to Holmes Run Greenway bicycle trail.

L onto trail along Eisenhower Ave.
X Eisenhower Ave. and continue on the trail.
L onto Holland Lane at end of Eisenhower Ave.
X Duke St. to Reinekers Lane. Dutch Touch is off to the R on Diagonal Rd.
X Diagonal Rd. to get to King Street.
L onto King St.
L onto Callahan Dr.
R immediate right onto Carlisle Dr. Go up hill to Temple.
STOP: Archeological excavations at top behind Temple. Eat lunch and get tour.
Follow Carlisle to King St.
R onto King Street.
R onto Daingerfield Rd.
